Bhuvneshwar Kumar Returns: India and New Zealand Squads
India national cricket team matches will have Shreyas Iyer as captain, and Tilak Varma as vice-captain. 16-member T20I side includes the following names – Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Axar Patel, Shivam Dube, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Naman Dhir, Prince Yadav, Mayank Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Varun Chakaravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav.
For New Zealand, Mitchell Santner is the captain, while the squad contains players such as Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Tim Seifert, Glenn Phillips, Daryl Mitchell, Michael Bracewell, Matt Henry, Lockie Ferguson, Kyle Jamieson, Adam Milne and others.
The swing bowling skills of Bhuvneshwar can come handy in Christchurch as the initial conditions can assist seam bowlers. However, the presence of Bhuvneshwar in the squad alone doesn’t guarantee his selection into the playing eleven as this decision is made during the toss.
